The Raffin Team

Al has been with Raffin Construction since 1984. During his more than 36 years of experience, he has worked in sales, estimating, and project management. He took over as president from his father in 2010. Al specializes in heavy industrial equipment foundations, commercial and industrial general contracting, and downtown concrete work in high-rise buildings.

Rob has 28 years of field construction management experience. He joined Raffin Construction in 1992 and leads the Raffin construction crews. His project specialties include commercial and industrial concrete work, commercial general contracting projects, site civil and utility relocation work, industrial general contracting, and downtown commercial concrete work in high-rise buildings.

Richard joined Raffin Construction in 1991. Prior to working at Raffin, he worked at A. Epstein & Sons, McIntosh Development Ltd, and JMP Realty. Richard has a Masters in Business Administration from Northwestern University and oversees Raffin Construction’s business interests. Paired with his civil engineering degree, he specializes in commercial and institutional general contracting and commercial and industrial development.

Jim has 31 years of design and field engineering and construction experience. He joined Raffin Construction in 1996 and prior to that honed his skills at Consoer Townsend Envirodyne Engineers, and Peri Formwork System Inc. Jim works on projects that include heavy industrial concrete foundations and earth retention systems, design-build industrial and commercial construction, general contracting work, and site civil and underground utility work.

Richard is the former president of Raffin Construction. He led the firm for 30 years and is responsible for many of its successes. Richard joined under his father in 1961 after serving in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. He has 61 years of experience in design and construction of heavy and light industrial and commercial construction. Richard works on projects that involve heavy industrial concrete foundations and earth retention systems, design-build industrial and commercial construction, general contracting, and rough and finish carpentry work.

Louis joined Raffin Construction in 1968 after serving in the Navy Construction Battalion. He has 52 years of construction field supervision experience and leads the field teams efficiently from one successful project to another. Louis’ expertise extends to all types of earth retention systems, heavy industrial equipment foundations, warehouse construction, rough and finish carpentry projects, and general contracting work.

Michael has 25 years of general construction management experience. After completing his degree at Purdue University, he worked at Pritscher & Erbach and Pepper Construction before joining Raffin Construction in 2002. Michael’s skills and expertise include commercial and institutional new construction and renovation, general contracting, medical offices, operating rooms, parking garages, site civil and underground utility work, and plaza and site work renovation.

Ray joined Raffin Construction in 1996 and has been leading the Raffin construction crew, bringing in new training and technology and expanding construction services. He has 24 years of field construction supervision experience and has expertise in commercial and industrial concrete work, commercial general contracting, site civil and utility relocation work, industrial general contracting, and downtown commercial concrete work in high-rise buildings.

Andy has 29 years of design and engineering construction experience. Before joining Raffin Construction in 2008, he worked with Archer Daniels Midland Co., Orbital Engineering, Inc., and A.J. Schuller & Co. Andy’s expertise extends to heavy industrial structural and foundation design and construction, industrial and commercial general contracting, and upscale residential commercial construction.

Jim has been part of the Raffin Construction team since 2012 and has ten years of construction management experience. Prior to working at Raffin, he was employed at Rockford Construction Co. Jim focuses on commercial and industrial concrete and general contracting projects.

Michael joined Raffin Construction in 2019. He received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and he specializes in commercial and industrial concrete projects.
