From its founding, Raffin Construction has been deeply rooted in Chicago's far southside neighborhoods. Louis Raffin, the founder of the company, immigrated from Italy in the early 1900s and settled in the Kensington neighborhood that was, at the time, a haven for Italian-American immigrants. He began as a humble concrete contractor serving primarily the needs of his immediate local community. The business is currently located in the Pullman neighborhood, just a few blocks away from its original site.
Raffin Construction is a fifth-generation family business. We take pride in not only providing our community with quality construction services, but also patronizing local businesses. Whether that's our business bank (Beverly Bank & Trust) or the restaurants we eat at during the work week (we highly recommend Old Fashioned Donuts for one), Raffin has been a cornerstone of our community since its founding.
COMMUNITY FOCUSED PROJECTS
We Give Back to Our Community
Raffin strongly believes in giving back to our community and has done so in various ways. Below are some of the organizations we have charitably impacted either through monetary donations or pro bono engineering/construction services.
Wherever we work, we bring our dedication to community involvement.
A majority of Raffin Construction's work is in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. However, when we travel for work, we bring our community-minded attitude with us. For projects completed outside of the Chicagoland area, we prioritize local suppliers and subcontractors. Additionally, any traveling personnel will be supporting the local economy by frequenting local restaurants, retail stores, hotels, and other businesses in the area.
Let us help you with your next project.
We don’t just build your building, we build a lasting relationship based on trust, service, and quality.
